Matrix Fung

Professor Fung is the Chief of Division of Endocrine Surgery and Clinical Assistant Professor at Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine, HKUMed. 

He graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2012 and has been affiliated with the Department of Surgery at Queen Mary Hospital ever since. Professor Fung's clinical and research interests focus on benign and malignant thyroid conditions, parathyroid diseases, adrenal, and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. He has extensive experience in using radiofrequency ablation and microwave ablation to treat various thyroid conditions, including thyroid nodules and Graves' disease. His expertise and commitment to the field have led to invitations as a speaker at various international conferences and workshops. He other interest include the clinical application of laryngeal ultrasonography for vocal cord assessment. He is a member of the Hong Kong Association of Endocrine Surgeons, the Asian Association of Endocrine Surgeons, and associate editor for Surgical Practice.
