Dr. Lo graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong in 1987 and obtained general surgical training at Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong as well as John Hopkins Hospital in USA. He received overseas fellowship training at Mayo Clinic in USA in 1994. He was the Chief of Endocrine & Minimally Invasive Surgery as well as Clinical Professor in Department of Surgery, the University of Hong Kong until his departure to private practice in 2007. He was the past President of Asian Association of Endocrine Surgeons and served as a council member of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong, the Asian Association of Endocrine Surgeons as well as the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons. He has edited one endocrine surgery textbook and has published more than 160 referee papers as well as book chapters mainly in surgical endocrinology. He is currently serving as Honorary Professor in the Department of Surgery of the University of Hong Kong and Honorary Consultant Surgeon of the Hong Kong West Cluster of Hospital Authority as well as of the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital.
