Dr. Valerie Ho is currently serving as Associate Consultant in the Division of Head and Neck Surgery and the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong. In addition to her clinical role, she holds the position of Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at The University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Ho graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009. She completed her basic surgical training at Tuen Mun Hospital and subsequently specialized in plastic surgery at Kwong Wah Hospital starting in 2012. She obtained her MRCS (Edin) in 2012 and achieved her Fellowship in Plastic Surgery in 2016. To further refine her expertise, Dr. Ho pursued advanced overseas training at the Reconstructive Microsurgery Division and Craniofacial Centre at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, as well as in Paris, Tokyo, and Los Angeles, focusing on auricular reconstruction and lymphedema surgery. She also earned a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University, broadening her knowledge in skin-related surgical care.
Dr. Ho’s clinical interests encompass a wide range of specialized areas, including head and neck surgery and reconstruction, auricular reconstruction, lymphedema surgery, and robotic surgery. She is also actively engaged in research on tissue engineering, exploring innovative approaches to improve surgical outcomes and patient care.
