Dr. Sai-Lan Liu is Deputy Chief Physician of the Department of Internal Medicine at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, where she also mentors graduate students as a Master Supervisor. With MD and PhD qualifications, Dr. Liu has established herself as a leading expert in the comprehensive treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), with particular focus on understanding metastasis and drug resistance mechanisms.

As an accomplished principal investigator, Dr. Liu has secured competitive research grants including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Youth Fund, Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and Guangzhou Science and Technology Program.

Dr. Liu’s impactful research has been published in premier oncology journals such as Lancet Oncology, Cancer Research, and Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, among others. She is a frequent invited speaker at major international conferences including ASCO, ESMO-ASIA, and ESMO-IO, where she presents both oral reports and poster displays of her work.

Dr. Liu's clinical and research excellence was recognized in 2020 when she received the prestigious "People's Good Doctor - Jinshan Camellia Award" Excellence Model Title from People's Daily, honoring her outstanding contributions to patient care and medical advancement.
