Dr. Ping-An Wu is an Associate Consultant of the Division of Head and Neck at The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital. He graduated from The Central South University in 2003 , and then completed clinical training in Head and Neck Surgery at The Second XiangYa Hospital, Central South University. He subsequently subspecialised in head and neck tumor surgery, and obtained the degree of Master of Surgery in 2006 and Doctor of Philosophy in 2010.

His clinical and research work involves endoscopic and open salvage surgery for recurrent tumors in the nasopharynx, as well as translational research on biomarkers for prediction and personalized treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Dr. Wu is also interested in minimally invasive head and neck surgery, endoscopic surgery for anterior skull base lesions, and reconstruction of head and neck defects using microvascular free flaps. He has published over 26 peer-reviewed journal articles.  He is currently a Fellow of the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncology Societies (IFHNOS), Fellow of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS), Member of the Youth Committee of the Head and Neck Cancer Professional Committee of Guangdong Anti-Cancer Association, Member of the Professional Committee of Throat Cancer of Guangdong Clinical Medical Association, Executive Member of the Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeons Branch of Shenzhen Medical Association.
