Dr. Mingyan Cai is an associate professor and a surgical endoscopist in Endoscopy Center, Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University, Shanghai China. She has MD and PhD degrees from Fudan University. She completed her General Surgery training in Shanghai, then finished specialist interventional endoscopy training under the direct mentoring of world-famous surgical endoscopist, Prof. Pinghong Zhou. Dr. Cai performs a wide range of advanced endoscopic procedures including endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), endoscopic full-thickness resection (EFTR), tunnel endoscopy (POEM, STER, etc), NOTES, EUS and ERCP. She has devoted to the promotion of these techniques in China and helped trained dozens of international endoscopists who are interested in ESD, POEM, STER, etc.
