Michel Kam

Dr. Kam joined the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital since 2017. He is currently Honorary Consultant in the Department of Medicine. He served as the Consultant Clinical Oncologist in the Department of Clinical Oncology, Prince of Wales Hospital before his private practice. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1991 and obtained his fellowship in Clinical Oncology in 1998. Dr. Kam then received overseas training in three different Oncology Centres, namely, the MD Anderson Cancer Center, the University of California Los Angeles, and the University of San Francisco, which helped to develop his specialties in Head & Neck Oncology, Neuro-oncology, and Paediatric Oncology. For his research works, Dr. Kam piloted the development of Intensity-modulated radiotherapy which has now become the standard of care in Radiation Oncology. He is also a pioneer of Image Guidance radiotherapy and Stereotactic Radiosurgery.  He was president of the Hong Kong Head and Neck Society in 2016-2017. Dr. Kam has published over 50 papers in the peer-reviewed journals indexed in Medline.
