Professor Hai-Qiang Mai is a Professor, Chief Physician, and Director of the Department of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. His academic training began with the rigorous completion of the Seven-Year Master Program in Clinical Medicine at the former Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences, followed by earning an MD degree at Sun Yat-sen University.As a doctoral advisor, Professor Mai mentors the next generation of oncology researchers while maintaining an active role in academic peer review as an Editorial Board Member of Chinese Journal of Cancer and reviewer for BMC Cancer and Tumor Biology. His expertise is nationally recognized through his appointments as Committee Member of the Nasopharyngeal Cancer Committee under the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association and as an evaluation expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Professor Mai specializes in nasopharyngeal carcinoma early diagnosis, individualized combination therapy, curative effect prediction and prognosis studies.
