Dr. Tong is a Part-􀆟me Consultant at the Department of Clinical Oncology at Queen Mary Hospital and an Honorary Associate Professor, The University of Hong Kong.
A􀅌er gradua􀆟ng from the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1991, he received residen􀆟al training at the Department of Clinical Oncology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

He had overseas training under Professor Brian O’Sullivan at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada, Dr. Gerald Hanks at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, USA, and Professor Lester Peters at Peter MacCallum Cancer Ins􀆟tute in Melbourne, Australia.
Dr. Tong joined the Department of Clinical Oncology at Queen Mary Hospital in July 2011. He is interested in the clinical research of mul􀆟modality management of Head & Heck and Urological Cancers.

He served as a member of the Head and Neck Cancer Clinical Coordina􀆟ng Commitee (Clinical Oncology) Site-Specific Expert Advisory Group of the Hospital Authority (2016 -2022).
On behalf of the Hong Kong College of Radiologists (HKCR), he served as co-Training Head of the Department of Clinical Oncology, Queen Mary Hospital (2019-2022).

He also serves as a Council Member of the Hong Kong Head and Neck Society and the Hong Kong Society of Uro-Oncology.
